Scheduling Activities
Activities in CareerTrackr help you track all job search-related events including interviews, phone calls, meetings, and follow-ups. With Google Calendar integration, your activities stay synchronized across platforms.
Types of Activities
CareerTrackr supports various activity types:
- Interview: All types of interviews (phone, video, on-site)
- Phone Call: Recruiter calls, follow-ups
- Meeting: Coffee chats, networking meetings
- Follow-up: Scheduled follow-up tasks
- Assessment: Take-home tests, coding challenges
- Other: Any other job search activity
Creating an Activity
Basic Steps
- Click “Activities” in the navigation
- Click “New Activity”
- Fill in required fields:
- Title (auto-generated from type + company)
- Date and time
- Duration
- Activity type
- Add optional details:
- Related opportunity
- Participants (contacts)
- Location
- Notes
- Save the activity
Quick Creation from Opportunity
- Open an opportunity
- Click “Schedule Activity”
- Activity is pre-linked to the opportunity
- Fill in remaining details
Calendar Integration
When Google Calendar is connected:
- Activities automatically sync to your calendar
- Calendar events sync back to CareerTrackr
- Updates in either place stay synchronized
- Includes meeting links and locations
Activity Details
Required Information
- Title: Descriptive name (e.g., “Technical Interview - TechCorp”)
- Date & Time: When the activity occurs
- Duration: How long it will last
- Type: Category of activity
Optional Information
- Company: Links to company record
- Opportunity: Links to specific job opportunity
- Contacts: People participating
- Location: Physical address or video link
- Notes: Preparation notes, agenda, etc.
Status Tracking
Activities can have these statuses:
- Scheduled: Upcoming activity
- Completed: Activity finished
- Cancelled: Activity was cancelled
- Rescheduled: Moved to a different time
Managing Activities
Calendar View
- See all activities in a monthly calendar
- Click dates to see daily details
- Drag to reschedule (if calendar sync is off)
List View
- Sort by date, type, or status
- Filter by time range:
- Today
- This week
- Upcoming
- Past
- Search by title or participant
Bulk Actions
- Export activities to CSV
- View in Google Calendar
- Filter by opportunity or company
Google Calendar Sync
Setting Up
- Go to Settings > Integrations
- Click “Connect Google Calendar”
- Authorize CareerTrackr
- Choose sync preferences
Sync Options
- Two-way sync: Changes sync both directions
- One-way sync: Only CareerTrackr → Google Calendar
- Selective sync: Choose which activities to sync
What Syncs
- Activity title, date, time, duration
- Location/meeting links
- Description (from notes)
- Updates and cancellations

Limitations
